Project background

Nanjing is an important science and education center in China. Since ancient times, it has been a city that respects culture and education, and is known as "the literary pivot in the world" and "the first study in Southeast China". Nanjing Zhongxin Jiangdao School is a new force. Its night lighting should be different from the colorful business district or leisure and entertainment places. We should focus on the environment, based on the school culture, find the balance point in the design, and design the lighting in line with the school atmosphere, which is the core of the project design.

Design idea

Highlighting the cultural characteristics of the school to enrich the night environment, lighting depends on the school environment and exists. By excavating the school culture and school characteristics, the lighting design starting point is determined to take the architectural texture "grid", beating notes, vivid campus image, diversified forms, lively students by nature, and the "wisdom" concept of the future island, from which the lighting design inspiration is extracted.

Lighting design

Focus on the context, design based on the school culture, set off the artistic atmosphere and strengthen the display. The lighting layout is simple and smart, enriching the night scene and showing the unique characteristics of the school.

In the design stage of the scheme, the school culture and campus environment are explained in detail, and the reserved nodes for communication between lamp installation nodes and pre-curtain wall are provided to ensure the implementability of the scheme. In the detail stage, the lamp selection and lamp evaluation should be strictly screened, and green and anti-glare tools should be selected to avoid adverse effects on the learning environment.

Through the analysis of surrounding environment, perspective and architecture, the lighting design of the project determines that the main viewing perspectives are along Keji Road and Lvshui Street Road, focusing on the design of the south facade and west facade of the building, forming the overall lighting linkage at night. The window frame position is lit by window sill lights to form a beating "grid"; In order to avoid damaging the integrity of the building by installing lamps in the facade, the facade is illuminated by floodlights, and the overall effect is uniform and concise.

Flexible adoption of diversified schemes, emphasizing the characteristics and important areas of the building, and focusing on creating a night atmosphere on campus. By fully analyzing the functions, characteristics and styles of the illuminated objects, we can thoroughly understand the relationship between light and shadow and the environment, and enrich the building shape by means of the expression of the concave-convex changes of the building by night lighting.

Through the investigation of school culture, school and surrounding environment, the project has carried out lighting design that conforms to the school image and adapts to the surrounding environment. It can not only highlight the unique style of the school, but also integrate into the local environment.

The design team attaches great importance to analysis, concept, quality, risk and cooperation. On the premise of respecting the school culture, the design is based on the school characteristics, creating a transparent, bright, concise and smart lighting system, creating a safe, comfortable and beautiful light environment for Nanjing Zhongxin Jiangdao School.
