 Project background 



The project is located in Xihu District, Nanchang City, close to the beautiful west bank of Xianghu Lake, surrounded by weeping willows and metasequoia along the coast, with pleasant scenery. Starting from the environment, the designer takes the landscape as the main driving force of this case, and meets the grand business planning needs of the owner by preserving the natural beauty of the site as much as possible and enhancing the unified development mode of the overall lakeside experience. The overall planning of the project includes commercial blocks, shopping centers, sports parks, happy gathering parks, contemporary art museums and hotel groups, and takes the commercial complex of "Urban Micro-holiday Happy Center" as the design orientation to accurately grasp the new needs of urban people in life, entertainment and consumption.

 Design idea 



Nanchang has a water system pattern of "one river connects three rivers and urban water system connects the lakes". Nanchang OCT Happy Xianghu Lake is located between Ganjiang River and Xianghu Lake. The overall planning scheme takes the flow of water as the concept, and connects the spaces with different purposes and experiences, in order to embody the concept of "City in Lake & Lake in Green Environment, House in Garden and People in Scenery".

 Facade design 



 Commercial&complex 


The ceiling part should be in the form of ETFE membrane. The scheme follows the traditional membrane structure and the tension string self-balancing stress system is adopted. The overall space covered by single membrane will be simpler and cleaner, and the cost will be lower.

Through the analysis of curved surface warping, curved surface radius and curved plate area, it is concluded that simply using glass curved plate has a large area and a large number of radii. If only using glass, it does not meet the structural safety and specification requirements, and glass manufacturers cannot produce, so that ETFE film is used in the ceiling part.

In the surface texture treatment of facade modeling, we use 3D metal plates to echo each other with the water waves of Xianghu Lake under different angles and sunlight, so that the overall modeling is more modern and fashionable, and closely combined with the natural landscape. The unit plates are spliced with flat plates to ensure that all plates are flat plates, which is very beneficial to processing and cost control. The spliced aluminum panel is sprayed (in two colors) after bending, welding and polishing. Due to higher requirements of the machining accuracy of components, it is suggested that the molded plate and the back keel be assembled in the factory to form the prefabricated unit plate.

Open facade practice is applied. Rubber strips are used at the seams as the first waterproof sealing, and the interior is sealed with water-covered steel plate, forming a double-layer waterproof measure, which not only ensures the waterproof performance, but also reduces the sealant sealant effect and sealant sagging pollution.

The overall facade of Butterfly Pavilion is highly transparent. It is suggested to choose a simple frame form for the inner support frame of glass facade. High-strength structural steel, such as Q345 or above, should be used to minimize the cross-sectional size of members, in order to make the facade more transparent and economical, and the main load-bearing steel structure should be treated with fireproof coating to ensure the fire resistance.

As the facade of the building is inclined to the indoor with an inclination angle of 70°, two schemes are suggested according to the functional requirements of the building: For the configuration with energy saving requirements, it is recommended to use double ultra clear tempered laminated insulating glass, and for the configuration without energy saving requirements, it is recommended to configure ultra clear tempered laminated glass.


Galvanized steel pipes and I-beams are used in the scheme, aluminum alloy profiles are clad on the outside, fluorocarbon spraying process is used on the outdoor surface, and powder spraying process is used on the indoor surface.


Plate analysis



Vertical greening of plant facade mainly brings great environmental and economic benefits to cities in alleviating urban heat island effect, improving energy-saving benefits of buildings, improving urban landscape and enriching urban species diversity. Based on the new modular three-dimensional greening technology, FORCITIS creates a large area of outdoor vertical greening wall and indoor life wall, replacing decorative materials such as glass facade, hard stone or aluminum alloy, so that visitors can feel rich landscape experience.

 Hotels 


The volume of the main tower of the building presents an arc-staggered shape, which is full of movement and tension, forming a dynamic of welcoming and embracing. It has a strong sense of topic and revelation, which complements the theme of joy and flow expressed in the master plan. For the facade, the conventional frame glass facade scheme is adopted.

3D model


The canopy at the main entrance is smart and elegant. The overall modeling can be parametric analyzed in order to better realize the scheme effect. Considering canopy drainage and overall modeling, there are surface changes in large surface and curved arc modeling. Flat plate can be used to fit micro-curved surface for large surface, and hyperbolic aluminum panel can be used for curved arc modeling position.

 Residential buildings 


For residential buildings, considering that the coexistence process of straight and curved glass segments will be limited by manufacturers and the quantity is less, which is not conducive to the cost and future maintenance and replacement, it is suggested to be optimized. Due to the small radius of glass, the processing of manufacturers is limited. Thus, it is recommended to adjust the radius to more than 1500mm.

For indoor transparent position, it is recommended to adopt customized window-wall system, and low-e insulating tempered glass shall be used to realize the permeability of large plate division of the project. For the non-transparent position between layers, it is recommended to use fluorocarbon sprayed aluminum veneer with aluminum alloy lines to reflect the tall and straight interlayer lines.




 Parametric design 


Based on the structural parametric design method of BIM technology, FORCITIS developed BIM family library for the designed projects and completed the creation of parametric BIM model based on the family library. The BIM model was imported into structural analysis software in the form of data for force analysis, and the parameters of BIM model were modified according to the results of force analysis to complete the parametric design of facade.

The overall construction of Happy Xianghu Lake is progressing in an orderly manner, and it is expected that the completion of the project will provide Nanchang citizens with high-quality tourism and holiday experience.
