The architectural design of Xi 'an sequence project is written by Zhang Runzhou, CEO of HZS, and FORCITIS provides the whole process of curtain wall design consulting service.


The project takes the undulating curve of mountains and rivers as the concept, and transforms the investment in Xi 'an into a new curved building. The new ' cloud wing building ' style, which is a combination of curve, lightness, modernity and transparency, has a strong sense of future and impact, giving the building an elegant and soft visual perception. The bright cloud wing architectural form and the soft and beautiful water system of the Bahe River are in harmony with the super-era works such as the convention and exhibition center along the Bahe River, the five-star Emmy Hotel, and the Chang 'an architectural cluster of the Xi 'an New Era Cultural and Sports Center, which jointly compose the coordinates of the new Xi 'an era.

 Facade new label-powerful landmark sense 

China Merchants Shekou Xi 'an sequence project adopts many curtain wall systems, which are equivalent to multi-type curtain wall complexes, including glass curtain wall system, aluminum curtain wall system, stone curtain wall system, honeycomb curtain wall system and so on. The project adopts a full facade curtain wall system, which makes its outer skin extremely impactful and gives visitors a strong sense of landmark.

From the facade effect, the highlight of the project is the ribbon between the layers. In order to highlight the connection ribbon, make its effect optimal, and avoid this bright spot becoming fragmented due to process defects, the Foster team broke the conventional processing technology during design, and adopted the innovative idea of factory integrated processing, assembly, and then overall mounting to achieve a greater degree of flexibility between the layers.

The ' cloud wing architecture ' in Xi 'an sequence takes water and cloud as the main elements, and realizes the landing effect through the combination of aluminum curtain wall and glass curtain wall. How to ensure the flatness and straightness of the aluminum plate has become the key point for the implementation of this project. When designing the aluminum plate curtain wall, Foster 's team added a special bending process for the aluminum plate folding edge to ensure the flatness of the aluminum plate and to make the curtain wall contour more distinct, so as to avoid the disadvantage of large arc R angle of conventional aluminum plate.

The original planning of the commercial entrance position of this project was supported by super-large plate stone. The Foster team considered that the stone quality was large and there were certain safety risks. In addition, its installation was relatively difficult, which made it difficult to guarantee the construction quality. After comparison and selection of multiple schemes, honeycomb stone with higher safety and lighter weight was used instead. The middle sandwich layer of honeycomb stone is bionic to the natural honeycomb structure. The honeycomb structure is equivalent to the wing plate of I-beam and mainly bears normal stress. The middle honeycomb layer is equivalent to the web of the I-beam and mainly bears shear stress. The structural strength of the two panels is large, and there is a large section moment of inertia, so the stiffness is good and the bending strength is large. Therefore, although the honeycomb panel uses less materials, it has high shear strength and good stability. The optimal combination of the panel and the honeycomb intermediate layer makes the honeycomb stone have the advantages of light weight, high strength and good stiffness.

Curtain wall doors and windows, fixed four seasons timing 

'One glass is a wall '. On the one hand, it describes the external manifestation of comfortable lighting and high-permeability windows. On the one hand, it is the positioning realization of Xi 'an Xu high-end housing. The Frost team used floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom, living room and other places with lighting needs. The glass was in the form of super-large glass. The maximum width of a single plate reached 5m and the area was nearly 14 ㎡.


In the early design stage, the Forster team and Party A and the scheme unit communicated many times to discuss a variety of facade schemes. Finally, Party A chose the scheme of super large glass facade effect, presenting the full curtain wall outer skin of ' every side faces the world '.

The surface treatment of door and window profiles in this project adopts fluorocarbon spraying process. Fluorocarbon paint has anti-decolorization, anti-frosting, anti-corrosion of air pollution ( acid rain, etc. ), strong anti-ultraviolet ability, maintenance-free, self-cleaning, strong adhesion, long weather resistance, strong crack resistance and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions. The service life can reach 15 to 20 years. The door and window profiles of conventional residential buildings are generally sprayed with powder, and the service life of the coating is 10 to 15 years.

The door and window glass of this project adopts three-glass two-cavity ultra-white glass. Compared with the conventional single-cavity hollow glass, the three-glass two-cavity glass has lower heat transfer performance. The high-performance insulation strip used in the profile of this project makes the overall thermal insulation performance of the project more excellent. The ultra-white glass used in this project has higher safety, which is about 20 times that of ordinary tempered glass.

Skilled ingenuity, achievement top luxury aesthetic curve 

The facade of Xi 'an sequence is mostly curved to show the building shape, so the detailed design of the arc position line of the interlayer curve is particularly important. It is necessary to provide convenience for the later construction, and to ensure the smoothness of the whole and the smooth transition of the arc position.


In the design stage, the details of the arc position are studied. The Foster team and all parties including Party A work together to view the handover and installation effects of different materials through field samples. Through intuitive comparison, it is decided to open the mold through aluminum alloy profiles at the upper and lower positions of the interlayer glass, and adopt an adjustable installation method to replace the traditional aluminum plate processing method, so that the arc position of the facade of the project is more smooth.

In the bidding stage, the Forster team participated in the bid evaluation work with Party A to identify the construction units that met the requirements. Foster knows that high-quality construction units are the cornerstone of project quality assurance.


During the construction phase, Foster provides irregular construction inspection services. Forcitis industrial management team conducts quality inspections at each key node of the project : embedded parts construction, keel installation, surface material installation, large surface closure, etc., timely detects on-site effects / quality problems, actively feedbacks and supervises rectification, and checks the final results after construction.
