Key Review of the Second Meeting on the Compilation of Standards

The second expert seminar on the evaluation standards for healthy building living environment was successfully held at Haier headquarters in Qingdao. At the meeting, the evaluation methods and project mutual recognition system of the standards were discussed in depth, and various evaluation dimensions were discussed in detail.

Key points of the meeting:

Conference Focus: Dr. Huang Junpeng, Secretary General of the Low Carbon and Healthy Real Estate Professional Committee of the China Building Energy Conservation Association, introduced the work plan for 2024, including a series of research activities, standard pilot applications, white paper preparation, promotion and training course development, and official digital management platform construction.

The meeting elaborated on the evaluation methods and project mutual recognition system in the "Standard", and provided detailed explanations and lively discussions on several evaluation dimensions including landscape, travel, home, community, service, emergency, and health care.

Enterprise representatives and experts gave valuable opinions on the progressiveness and adaptability of the provisions, and summarized the latest framework and key chapters and provisions of the Standard after the revision.

Background and significance of the formulation of the 'Standard'

With the increasing pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, the health attributes of the built environment have become a focus of attention. The post-90s and post-00s generations have become the main force in purchasing and renovating homes; With the increase of elderly people living alone, the demand for aging friendly decoration is also increasing year by year; Consumers' awareness of environmental protection is constantly increasing, and their demand for intelligence and personalization continues to grow.

The development model that pursued speed and quantity in the past to solve the problem of "whether there is" is no longer suitable for the new requirements of solving the problem of "whether it is good or not" and high-quality development stage. It is urgent to build a new development model for human settlement environment.

The formulation of the "Standard" aims to respond to the "Healthy China 2030" planning outline and the "3060 Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality" goal, ensuring the quality of the built living environment in the post pandemic era.

This standard fills the gap in the evaluation of low-carbon and healthy performance of building spaces in China, and is of great significance for promoting the development of the "Four Good" construction and new quality productivity in the field of human living environment.

The core value of the standard

Technology based human settlement solutions:

Based on the current and future national layout in the dual carbon field, as well as the policy direction, industrial foundation, and market demand for building a healthy China, we will develop and refine a set of low-carbon, healthy, and synergistic technology solutions for human settlements.

New Quality Productivity:

Based on the development needs of the real estate industry and the technical requirements for electrification and intelligence required for low-carbon/zero carbon buildings, the "Standard" proposes building technology solutions that can promote low-carbon and ensure health. This will help promote the development and growth of new productivity in the real estate industry, meet emerging high-quality living environment needs, and promote the emergence and iteration of advanced health and environmental technologies.

Comprehensive performance indicators:

Comprehensive performance indicators: The "Standard" defines spatial performance based on scenarios, and proposes more comprehensive performance indicators for kitchen, bathroom, living, sleep, fitness, remote work, low-carbon decoration, energy management, etc. in home life, aiming to build a low-carbon, healthy, collaborative and efficient technological living solution.

Foster feels honored and responsible for participating in the compilation of the "Evaluation Standards for Healthy Building Living Environment". In the future, Foster will continue to deepen its relationships with industry partners and actively participate in the formulation of the "Evaluation Standards for Healthy Building Living Environment" to jointly promote the development of healthy building living environment. We look forward to the final completion of the 'Standard', which will make important contributions to improving the health level of the built environment and promoting the sustainable development of the industry.
