Project background
For Sanya Deep Sea Science and Technology City of China Merchants, the planned area is about 15.6k㎡, with marine science and technology industry as the core, focusing on three major areas: deep sea science and technology, marine industry and modern service. With the concept of "Oxygen Sea Valley", the project design is committed to providing a diversified office environment for high-tech enterprises and office people engaged in science and technology construction.

Design idea
Because the building volume is high outside and low inside, it encloses the internal space. In order to create a complete city skyline, the green corridor in the center of the site becomes the connection between the city, the ocean and the internal green space of the park, so that the air from the ocean can naturally penetrate the whole internal space. The architectural design concept relies on the ecological green corridor to organize the internal hierarchical relationship of the park, and stitches the whole area into a whole, in order to form a different and mutually penetrating planning pattern inside and outside, create the relevance between architecture and urban space, and create a vibrant park environment.

Facade design
In the presentation of the facade, the design gives full play to the resource advantages of coastal cities, introduces marine and environmental protection elements, and creates a symbolic architectural skin. The facade draws lessons from the elements such as local blue sky, white clouds, waves and soft waves in Sanya, and integrates them into the design of architectural surface. The high-rise part follows the double-layer surface technique. Under the sunlight, the external texture of the building forms a rich facade light and shadow effect, which is simple and dynamic.
Project renderings
The facade sunshade ventilation system can greatly reduce the building energy consumption, reduce the building heat conduction compared with the conventional facade, and effectively improve the heat insulation performance of the facade.
Folded sunshade surface
The large facade of tower and podium should be the glass facade system of bright in vertical direction and hiding in horizontal direction. All facade windows are hidden behind the trapezoidal lines of the facade, and the overall facade is in the form of glass and aluminum plate, realizing pure and tall facade effect.
China Merchants Sanya Deep Sea Equipment Industrial Park is a fully owned industrial park invested and developed by China Merchants Sanya Deep Sea Science and Technology City Development Co., Ltd. to implement the national maritime power strategy, serve the development of marine equipment industry and seize the great historical opportunity of free trade port. It is also hoped that through the facade space design, a unique city image will be created and a forward-looking and innovative industrial community will be created.
