Qingdao Zangma Mountain Moon Empty Wedding Hall opened in September 2021, which is another landing project of star architect BUZZ Zhuangziyu studio. FORCITIS Foster participated in the design and construction of the facade of the project, helping to shape the white auditorium in the mountains.

The moon-sky wedding hall is pure and ethereal in appearance. Whether it is spatial structure or material, the moon-sky wedding hall has created an extremely distinctive architectural style and derived richer scene meaning, achieving a proper balance between social public buildings and commercial projects.
The whole building is designed in the form of ' cavity structure ' and ' slice superposition '. With pure white as the main tone, with simple lines to match the quiet and solemn atmosphere of the church. From afar is a modern church, look inside is a unique gentle streamline cavity.

The slender slice shape has great testability in Qingdao extreme weather. The Foster curtain wall team innovatively adopted built-in steel keel and outsourced 4mm composite aluminum plate, which not only meets the force requirements, but also realizes the appearance requirements of the building. The decorative lines are assembled in the factory and transported to the site for assembly, which not only ensures the accuracy but also meets the requirements of the site construction period.
The slices are formed in a unique way : a series of composite aluminum plate ( outdoor ) / GRG ( indoor ) slices are arranged longitudinally. Each slice is 5 cm thick, and the gap between each slice is 40 cm. All these slices combine to form the whole wall, roof and tower.

The inner and outer slices have two effects : First, the facade of the church will change with the perspective of the observer. From the side view is a closed wall, but from the vertical direction ( e.g. from the inside of the people from the inside to see the outside of the sky ), the entire building facade is open, the line of sight through these gaps. Secondly, the external solemn shape and internal smooth space make the effect constantly change, forming a changing skin.

The Moon Sky Wedding Hall of the Tibetan Horse Mountain in Qingdao was awarded the 14 th Annual Best Religious Building by ArchDaily. It stands out from more than 4,500 participating buildings worldwide and has become one of ArchDaily 's 15 annual buildings in 2023.
